I just bought a 99 motor that was manufactured in 02/99. What I am wondering is did Ford change the the hpop between those years, 15 degree to 17 degree? If they did I'm going to switch them, but I just cannot remember if they did or not!

Thanks

Early 99's did not have the intake air heater on the Y pipe... Late 99s did... Early had the 15 pumps late have the 17... there is no differace in the pumps in respect to the bolt on ablity...

sweet guys thanks for the help. i know that the hpop's are the same bolt pattern, but could i put the 15* pump and 17* together to have dual hpop's? or should i find another 17* pump? next thing, can i switch the intakes out? will it fit my early 99?

Yes you can put the 15 and 17 together... so long as there both good pumps.

you will still have to get a Dual HPOP kit that puts an outpul shaft on your factory pump to drive the second pump and all of the lines and brackets to make it work... I believe beans diesel has the DIY kit for 900 bucks... I dont know if theirs a cheaper one out their or not youll have to do some searching.

thanks for all the help boys. it came w/ two turbo's, and everything i need to convert mine to the bigger turbo. which is great. plus now i can send in injectors and keep my truck running until they come in (no down time and i keep my old injectors). the motor had 350k on her. boths hpops are in good shape, (thanks CSIPSD for the info). right about the dual hpop kit, gotta ya there. now it's just a matter of time and money. so instead of robbing peter to pay paul, it looks as if i will have to beat peter. oh well.
PSDfan99 how do you like the hpop cross over line? does it smooth everything out that much? just debating about doing it myself.
oh ya, i almost forgot to mention, it has brand new heads on it (ok 9 months old) and i got all of this for $350.00. couldn't beat the deal
