Grey and black smoke out tail pipe

I have an 07 350 with just under 200,000mi. I had a head gasket leak and installed studs hoping to keep this from happening again. When I torqued them down I snapped one off in the back drivers side. (I did this all with the cab raised slightly) I destroyed the threads getting it out and got a new threaded insert installed. The rest of the project went well... Now that it's running I have some grey/white smoke out the tail pipe at low speeds and when I punch it it turns black. Some times it seems like it misses. I'm not sure if this is an injector issue or if this is a result of getting some shavings in the cylinder that was closest to the hole that I had to rethread. I did my best to tape it off and keep stuff out but I can't help but think that maybe that could be part of the problem. I hope I'm just paranoid. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys/gals.

Did you pull heads/have them checked/install new head gaskets/ and do head studs?
or just pull bolts and put stud in?

Yes, I did this because I had a gasket leak so I pulled the heads and had them ground and checked. New gasket and studs. One broke and I had to grind that bolt out and fix the threads. Once I got that fixed I put it all back together without problem... Till I started it back up and had some smoke. But it's not coolant, I have been checking it consistently, and it is not oil, unless I am replacing it with fuel at the same exact rate. The oil level is perfect.
